Darren Shan Saga

A Few Books from the Series
I read this Saga a few months ago, and each time I see it, I just get reminded of it's awesomeness. It's written by Darren Shan. This is a series I would recommend to EVERYONE. No kidding. Except squeamish people that just don't make any sense in this world *glares at one friend in particular*. But yeah, I even recommended (more like forced) it  to my friend, and she loved it! Even though horror and fantasy isn't her thing, it's now her favourite book!

The style is so... AAAH! I can't describe it. Darren Shan has woven magic into his books. He explains the story from the perspective of a child, a child who has enough knowledge of the vampire clan to help you understand, but not too much, so as it isn't too complicated. You learn as he learns, sort of thing.

Simple summary without giving away too much: It's a story about a boy who becomes a half vampire... He joins a Circus full of weird people and... I can't really say that much, because I'd feel like I was stealing the amazingness of reading it first hand, but it is an awesome book.

The film, though, is terrible. Apparently, it's okay if you haven't read the book, but if you watch it, you kind of get the feeling that it isn't based on the book, it's inspired from the book. Even then, they probably just stole the names and the fact that there are vampires from it.

*SPOILER ALERT*
For example: Larten Crepsley never uses contractions like "that's" or "it's", but even in the trailer, he uses them twice!
Another example would be: In the story there are these creepy creatures that are humanoid and wear long cloaks, they don't have names, but one of them later reveals that he does have a name which is "Harkat" but the film still insists on calling him Harkat before he reveals it!
*NO MORE SPOILERS*

So yeah, a MUST for all readers.
